Trailblazer: Wen Jay P.
My name is Wen Jay. I am a Chinese-American and was adopted when I was 3. My family lives in Los Angeles, California. I live with my parents and brother and sister. I like to play with my dog on the grass each morning. I work at my friend’s gym for fun and to get a working experience.
I love to play sports like soccer, basketball, water polo, football, baseball, and running. I love to draw, paint, and make designs that could help become something new. I want to become an architect or do something with sports when I am older. Music has been one of my passions since I was little. From playing electric guitar, to playing in a band with my friends, I have learned and mastered many instruments. The name of my band is called Guys In Ties.

I like to help others when I am not in school or doing fun activities with my friends. I help at a senior [citizens’] home on Wednesdays after school. I also like to relax on the couch with a book and chips. My sister is a vegan cook and makes the most delicious foods. I have learned to be a better cook from her. My brother encourages me to do my best in sports, and my dad does the same with music. While that is happening, my mom provides a ride and support in each activity I do. I am active in a junior youth group and bring new friends each time.
