Trailblazer: Liva B.

My dream is to share my music with the world . . .

Hello, lovely souls! My name is Liva and I'm from the beautiful coast of British Columbia, Canada.

Writing publicly about who I am has been a lifelong challenge for me. I feel like no three paragraphs can sum up any person. That's the first thing that I think overwhelms my personality: I see the complexity of the spirit in every person. I am keenly interested in living life with autonomy and purpose, and my biggest fear is undeveloped potential.

When I was nine, I pioneered to China for a year with my brother and our parents. This experience, paired with the guidance of the Bahá’í Faith, has totally stretched the way I view the world. I think the experience of travelling is some of the best learning possible—I am so thankful to have been able to partake of it and I will continue to for the rest of my days on this earth.

I am completely one with the concept of creating—I sing, play the piano and write constantly. I am private and quiet, but mostly because I seek to truly know people. It takes silence to move beneath the surface. I find so much meaning in the process of life and living, of feeling every emotion, whether I'm making a latte at the cafe I work at, or walking home from school on a November afternoon, I find beauty in everything. I spend the majority of my days searching for the music in each moment. Art is my only constant, the one thing in my life that I can never doubt God handcrafted me for, and for me.
